We need your help!
Widening skills gaps. Geographic mismatches. Growing income disparities. Too frequently framed as the plight of the American worker, human capital challenges are fundamental impediments to economic development and business competitiveness; a shortage of talented workers spells disaster for businesses that require skilled labor to grow and compete.
Phildelphia is a case study in the mismatch between the talent needs of businesses and the skill levels of residents:
• Philadelphia ranks in the bottom ten percent of U.S. cities in residents with post-secondary education.
• Nearly a third of Philadelphians lack the skills they need to compete in the 21st century workplace.
JOIN wants to bring key stakeholders together to discuss solutions to this problem, but we need your help.
We are planning an Innovation Forum for the early fall focused on these and other issues, and we want to hear from YOU about what we can do to make it engaging, innovative, and productive. Tell us a little about the best and worst conferences you’ve attended by taking our Innovation Forum survey. Your answers will be anonymous, but will help us tremendously as our plans take shape.
Thanks for your help!
